We all have been involved in some or other form of sports in our childhood days. Sports kept us healthy and also kept the team spirit and competitive spirit glowing in us. Sports can be divided into two categories. First are the indoor sports and second are the outdoor sports. Indoor sports refer to board games like chess, checkers, carom etc. Indoor games stress more on the mental agility and hand eye co-ordination of the players. Whereas outdoor sports like soccer, cricket, tennis, badminton, base ball, basketball require the players to be physically fit and agile.
A certain percentage of individuals pursue their passion in sports as their career. Sports have made many common individuals into celebrities. People adore sports personalities. They worship them. Sports personalities almost attain a Demi-god status in the hearts of the people. However not all sports are equally rewarding. Every country has a different preference for sports. Cricket is a Religion in Asia, whereas Soccer is a religion in Europe. Depending on the preference for sports, the popularity of the sports person may vary. The World of sports is a challenging world indeed. It requires the players to be mentally and physically fit round the clock. It requires rigorous practice for long hours to achieve perfection in that particular sport. Sports Personalities try to compete against themselves. Even the champions are not satisfied by being on top; they just want to achieve more and more. There is no limit to a sportsman’s ambition. If they have set a record, they would want to break it by performing better and setting a new record which is more difficult to break.
Sports persons are much focused and they are under the constant pressure from their fans across the world to perform. It is difficult to manage such extreme pressure and only seasoned players can do it.
